My Studio

As promised, here's a photo tour of my little corner studio. It's not much but it's home!

We'll start with my home made $50 drawing table. All wooden parts came from Lowe's Home Improvement. Put it together over four years ago. The little drawers on each side came from big lots and the utility tray on the side from the Dollar Tree.

And on to the tools! Let's pop open those little drawers and see what's inside shall we!
And seriously, nobody would ever believe just how many new unused erasers I have of every different kind. Every thing from kneaded, vinyl, stick erasers, erasers refills for electric...you name it. Not even a tenth of my erasers are pictured here lol...... I got obsessed with the crazy things!! Also, I do use the cheap markers occasionally for finishing up sketch cards or if I don't have the exact color I'm looking for in my collection. The main ones I used pictured at the bottom are "Touch Three" brand.

Various triangles, protractors, circle template and although it's practically invisible, there's a French curve there as well.

Finally, one of my most used tools...The light pad (Formerly known as a "light box")

This handy gadget is used to take roughs to final pencils for inking or just straight to inking depending on my mood and confidence level.

And Sometimes I like to work digitally
My handy dandy HP Laptop & a Monoprice Tablet!

Wall accessories for staying motivated

A box of comics featuring my favorite super hero

Three excellent reference & guide books. Stan Lee's "How to Draw Comics" & "Comics Crash Course" are definitely recommended titles. Both have helped me tremendously in how to plan out a page.

& Finally...Remember all those erasers I mentioned earlier?

Those Staedler packs each contain five erasers. On the other side of the container there is a box containing about 20 Pentel erasers, about 15 stick erasers like you see through the container with each one having 3 refills. Also when Office Depot closed their doors and everything was marked down, I grabbed a bunch of Sanford erasers (not pictured). As I said...I went crazy.
